It's typically better to just install a new version over any old pre-existing version, that way all of your user selected settings will remain fully intact.

Should I have to turn off my Defender anti-virus to install it? Try installing the SLIM build from here, it works for many people when they have problems downloading. Like Hazelnut stated try the Slim build, it's usually less likely to cause a false positive. You might not have to wait a few days, personally I'd try the download again after a few hours. Edit: I'd recommend not turning off your antivirus protection too much else to go wrong with it off just to update a software.

Did you turn McAfee off, and try downloading it? Yes, I tried this on 18 August, following your original suggestion please see my post of that date. I only have McAfee VirusScan. I disabled it and tried downloading, without success. So I enabled it again. Encouraged by your reassurances that all should go well, I will simply download DAF if I can, of course!

But when I click on that link directdownload djlizard. Glenn says above that the logo indicates a blocked image. Getting nowhere fast here - it seems that something is blocking downloads, and now I find that I can't even download DAF in order to clear the blockage.
